Four-day Stanley Cup Relay Schedule Unveiled

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, January 27, 2012 – The Local Organizing Committee unveiled the four-day schedule that will see the NHL’s most coveted trophy – the Stanley Cup – travel to communities across Prince Edward Island from February 7th to 10th as part of Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada 2012 celebrations.

“We are so excited to have this rare and unique opportunity to extend Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada celebrations to communities across the province with the Stanley Cup,” said Rob Newson, Chair of the Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada Local Organizing Committee. “While PEI has been fortunate to have hosted the Stanley Cup visit a few times with NHL Stanley Cup Champions, this relay is completely different as it’s about celebrating the passion our various communities have for the great game of hockey.  The Stanley Cup is traveling to communities to celebrate communities.”
